As a part of the M&A, the acquired Broadband service provider company that was on SAP had to migrate their processes to the common Oracle EBS platform used by the acquirer. The customer decided to implement the Financials, Order Management, Purchasing and Customized telecom billing solution.
Solution
BMPL recommended the Implementation of the Financials, Order Management, Advanced Pricing and Purchasing modules within EBS. For Billing, the customer had to decide between a packaged off-the-shelf solution OR a custom built solution on top of the EBS module. BMPL developed the prototype for the custom billing solution and the customer decided to go with the custom built solution.

Project Methodology
BMPL had developed the prototype including the custom built module for billing, and later implemented the above modules at the customer site. Based on this prototype, the users provided the specific requirements required to meet the operational and financial needs.
BMPL assisted AFL in mapping the assets to the various asset categories within oracle.
BMPL then carried out the mapping of these requirements and carried out the configuration on the User acceptance test instance.
Solution Impact
All processes of the entire group is on the EBS platform thereby eliminating the multiple ERP and billing systems, resulting in a huge savings in capital investment.
